The Dutch Female Fronted metal band In-Tension was founded in 2002 with as biggest influences bands like as Dream Theater, Pain of Salvation, Within Temptation and Porcupine Tree.
The band has its own unique and recognizable sound with elements of progressive rock, gothic rock and metal.
In-Tension recorded her full-length debut album “Fragments” as a graduation project for the Rock Academy in Tilburg and released it independently in 2004. The album was produced by Pieter Kop (Ayreon, Star One, Gorefest, Stream of Passion) and has had very good reviews worldwide.
After a number of line-up changes, the band recorded, produced and mixed the EP “Transfigure” in its own studio in 2008. This EP was also self-released.
At the end of 2014, In-Tension released a video for the song “Paindrops” and the band returned with a lot of new material; songs like “Overload”, “You and I” and “A Fading Blue Light” have strong guitar riffs, beautiful vocals, atmospheric keys and driving rhythms.
In 2014, In-Tension also started as a Within Temptation Tribute band (Within Tension), with which they have since performed many times at major festivals and in beautiful venues such as the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven.
Now In-Tension is placing more emphasis on their own work again and they released their latest single “Divided” on YouTube in March 2023, which received very good reactions! The songs are also well received live and this leaves us wanting more!
